Europe’s largest green festival, The Big Green Gathering, is obsessed with giving people the know-how to lead a more environmental friendly lifestyle has today unveiled the line-up for it’s 2009 event. Some of the largest acts include 3 Daft Monkeys, King Porter Stomp and Seize The Day.

Whilst the event isn’t based solely on the musical perfomances they do have an extensive line-up.

Also confirmed today were The Nik Turner Band, Dubblehead and Rapskallion, Celt Islam Sound System, MC Excentral Tempest, Dragonsfly, Quodlings Delight and Emergence.

Other musical acts include Unity And Division, Lover Groce, Bizali, Diddley Squat, Gravy Train, Tarantism, Hadar Manor, Gabby Young And Other Animals, Edd Keane, Bert Miller And The Animal Folk and Rae.

The green event takes place at Mendip Hill, Somerset from 29th July to 2nd August.

Tickets are on sale now – with adult tickets at £125, £100 for concessions and £50 for under 17’s.

The event has been going for a number of years now and spawned from the behemoth of Glastonbury Festival (also in Somerset). Being green and more aware of the environment is one of the festivals key goals and leads by example, the festival is widely regarded as a premier green festival.
