The rumours have been circling for months now that Bruce Springsteen will be a headline act at Glastonbury festival 2009, so, as it stands its probably no big surprise for you to hear that Springsteen will be at the Glastonbury Music Festival event.

Glastonbury organisers confirmed the rumours earlier today that The Boss will be a Pyramid Stage headline act on Saturday 27th June. The other headline acts are rumoured to be Blur and Neil Young.

Tickets for Glasontbury are now completely sold out but tickets that have been cancelled and those not payed for will be on sale April 5th.

Franz Ferdinand Confimed by Glastonbury Festival

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Glastonbury Festival have confirmed their first act, the Glaswegian foursome Franz Ferdinand. The band self confirmed that they would be playing at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival a few days ago, this has now been backed up by Glastonbury organisers. Franz Ferdinand currently have a single release for the song titled ‘Ulysses’ from their new album ‘Tonight, Franz Ferdinand’.

Tickets to Glastonbury Festival have now all sold out but cancellations and void payment tickets will be on sale on April 5th. I’d imagine they will be very sought after so if you’re looking to get yourself to the festival keep a close eye out for them on April 5th. Despite last years difficulty in selling all the tickets I’m sure the organisers will be exceptionally happy to have sold out with months to go – the line up still hasn’t even been announced yet!
