Isle of Wight Festival organisers have confirmed four more acts for The Big Top tent: disco DJ Calvin Harris, pop-rockers Mercury Rev, British indie sensation The Maccabees and rock outfit The Rakes.
The newly announced bands will all be playing on the Saturday of the three day event. They will be joining other bands playing in The Big Top such as The Australian Pink Floyd Show, McFly, Ladyhawke, Noisettes and The Charlatans.
The event takes place on the 12th, 13th & 14th June 2009 at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
The currently confirmed headliners for the event are The Prodigy, Stereophonics, Neil Young and Razorlight. Maximo Park, Basement Jaxx, Pendulum, White Lies and The Pixies are all also set to take to the main stage during the event.
Calvin Harris and Dizzee Rascal have both been confirmed to play at this year’s T4 on the Beach. The duo, responsible for ‘Dance Wiv Me’ which reached #1 last year, may have plans to put on a joint performance.
