Metallica and Linkin Park, two huge bands, are confirmed to play and headline the brand new Sonisphere festival at Knebworth House in Herfordshire.

The Sonisphere Festival is going to take place on August 1st and 2nd later this year and what great headliners to put this new festival on the map. Sonisphere plans to accomodate 60,000 rock fans at Knebworth House. Supporting bands are Lamb of God and Mastodon.

The new rock festival will take place over two days over two stages. Fourteen acts are planned to play over the event rotating between stages to keep the music continuous. Weekend tickets are priced at £132.50 or a camping ticket at £157.50. Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday (11th February) at 9am.
