Bullet For My Valentine confirm Sonisphere

Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine have been added to this years Sonisphere line-up.

Sonisphere festival is a brand new rock festival for 2009 and will take place at Knebworth House on Saturday 1st and 2nd August in Hertfordshire. Bullet For My Valentine will be joining all ready confirmed bands, Metallica and Linkin Park.

BFMV also announced that due to their recording commitments, they will be unable to headline Hammerfest in April.

Tickets to the first Sonisphere festival are priced at £132.50 and £157.50 with camping.

More Bands Added to T in the Park Lineup!

The T in the Park organisers have today announced new acts that will be playing the Scottish festival. Joining the initial list include Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party and Maximo Park.

Other acts that have been confirmed include Lily Allen, James Morrison, Paulo Nutini, The Ting Tings, Manic Street Preachers, Felix Da Housecat, Mogwai, The Mars Volta, Bjorn Again, Simian Mobile Disco, Hockey, The Script, The Gaslight Anthem plus many more.

Todays announcement strengthen T’s lineup for 2009 which will need to be big to beat last years which included rockers Rage Against the Machine. Acts previously announced for T in the Park 2009 include The Killers, Blur, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Katy Perry, Razorlight, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, Peter Doherty, and White Lies.

T in the Park takes place in Balado, Scotland on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, 27th February, at 9am.

First Field Day Bands Announced

London’s Field Day festival has announced it’s first bands and headliner. The organisers announced earlier that Scottish rockers Mogwai will be the stars of the show. Other acts include Apes and Androids, Erol Alkan, Errors, Fennesz, Final Fantasy, James Yorkston, Malcome Middleton and Skream.

Field Day festival takes place this year on Saturday 1st August and, like previous years, will be held at Victoria Park in London.

Bruce Springsteen for the Pyramid Stage

The rumours have been circling for months now that Bruce Springsteen will be a headline act at Glastonbury festival 2009, so, as it stands its probably no big surprise for you to hear that Springsteen will be at the Glastonbury Music Festival event.

Glastonbury organisers confirmed the rumours earlier today that The Boss will be a Pyramid Stage headline act on Saturday 27th June. The other headline acts are rumoured to be Blur and Neil Young.

Tickets for Glasontbury are now completely sold out but tickets that have been cancelled and those not payed for will be on sale April 5th.

T in the Park Bands Announced

It has been announced that Razorlight are one of this years headlining acts at Scottish festival T in the Park. Razorlight join previously announced acts: the recently reformed Blur, US pop-act Katy Perry and Irish band Snow Patrol.

Other acts announced to the bill today include Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, White Lies and the infamous Peter Doherty.

T in the Park takes place at Balado, Scotland between the 10th and 12th July.
