Radio 1 One Big Weekend organisers have today announced a huge list of bands that will be playing this year’s event. Acts include The Enemy, Maximo Park, Lily Allen and Basement Jaxx.

Other acts announced today include: The Gossip, Enter Shikari, Chase And Status, Ladyhawke, White Lies, Kasabian, The Script, The Wombats and The Saturdays.

Doves, Jack Penate, Friendly Fires, Deadmau5, Florence And The Machine, The King Blues and Fightstar have also been confirmed for the event.

Previously announced acts include headliners Snow Patrol, Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris and  Alesha Dixon.

The event which takes place at a new location every year is set to take place from 9-10 May at Lydiard Park, Swindon. In years gone-by tickets for the event are handed out for free and 20,000 per day are being lined up to be released for this year.

For all those interested in the tickets they must first register for them. Registration open tomorrow (15th April) at 8.15am.
