The annual Radio 1’s One Big Weekend event is to be headlined by Snow Patrol. N-Dubz was also announced to be playing at this years festival.

Announced on Chris Moyles’ morning Radio 1 show, he spoke about the choice of venue: “We always try to bring it to places that don’t normally get big events like this. The people of Swindon are going to love it.”

The weekend event, which has no set location and changes venur each year, will be hosted at Lydiard Park, Swindow from 9th-10th May. 20,000 tickets will be available and handed out free. The majority of those tickets will be going to the residents of Swindon.

Registration for the tickets will open on Tuesday 14 April.
