Isle of Wight festival promoter, John Giddings, said: “It was hard to think of someone capable of complementing the musical talent of Neil Young but once I had the idea it was blindly obvious and it will surely be a legendary day on the Isle of Wight.”
Other acts set to play the event include Basement Jaxx, The Ting Tings, The Charlatans and Pendulum. The other headliners are The Prodigy, Stereophonics and Razorlight.
Tickets for this year’s festival are now on sale priced at £140 for an adult weekend pass with camping with other ticket options available. The festival has been a huge event over the last few years selling out consistently over the past three years. This year looks like it should be the same with around 50,000 music lovers attending the event.
Isle Of Wight takes place from 12-14 June at Seaclose Park, Newport.
