The Killers headline V Festival

The Killers are going to headline 2009 V Festivals. The foursome from Las Vegas played the gig back in 2007 so will welcome the return to the festival locations with open arms. The band also headlined Reading and Leeds festival last year.

In an interview with the Daily Star, band member Mark Stoermer said: “We are indeed headlining the V Festival and we’re lucky to be doing it on our third album – things keep getting better for us. We will have the biggest lighting show we’ve ever had – it costs twice as much as our last tour.

“When you’re playing big places you’ve got to give something to everyone, including the fans at the back. We’ve become more refined as a live act.”

V Festival 2009 takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffs from 22-23 August.

V Festival tickets go on sale 6 March.
